Nurture your choices

by | Meandering reflections

Poet John O’Donohue said, that “Our very life here depends directly on continuous acts of beginning.” And for me that means that we don’t have to wait for some arbitrary day on a calendar to change, grow, or transform.

In fact, and this is something I firmly believe, true change rarely happens in one fell swoop… It might feel like big changes are somehow marked by before and after, but in reality those are only the accumulative effect of many smaller moments and choices.

In reality, every moment is a beginning, an opportunity for something to change, for a different choice to be made, for something new to be birthed.

So by all means set intentions, goals, or resolutions for the year ahead, but remember to see every day as an opportunity to ask yourself: What do I want to seed and what do I want to feed?

Nurture your choices because that’s where all beginnings are birthed.

And if you’re like me using this time to observe and reconcile with what’s truly alive within then I wish you find the peace of acceptance. As always, I’m here if you lose sight of the shore.

From my heart to yours,

Tarien
