Sometimes we need routine while we tend to the sacred fire in our hearts… rekindling our relationship with and also to life
Tending to the quiet and sometimes less than quiet unfolding of our life
Routine can be a ritual balm for our souls in messy times
But then, when we find ourselves on the other side and we notice that our life always feels a little groundless beneath our feet
And we realise, that perhaps this has always been just so
That the feeling of certainty we at times could claim was a necessary illusion
That we can now bear to acknowledge and perhaps even celebrate
As we allow ourselves to move with life’s quiet embrace
And hear the music as if for the first time
Can you feel life inviting you into wonder
Away from the path you know and onto the path you seek
Can you say yes
Or at least allow yourself to linger in the maybe while you feel into this new and expanded place
And as you linger, feeling its contours and knowing it is safe
Allowing yourself to be beckoned by what’s beckoning
Patiently and humbly welcoming all these messengers
Just as you are
Adjusting your sails for the wind, checking the currents, noticing the rise and fall of the waves
As you effortlessly follow the path that you’re creating with each step
Reflection: In a world that’s clamouring for our attention, breaking away from routine into the unexpected and unknown can be revolutionary. Where are you longing for liberation?.. Where are you clinging to routine and where are you being invited to explore new ways of doing and being?
